Being a Stage 2 member gives you so much more than access to a theater program—it gives you a community. Members get to be part of an encouraging, hands-on environment where they can grow their confidence, creativity, and performance skills. You learn how to work as a team, take direction, and bring stories to life onstage, all while building friendships that last long after the final curtain. Stage 2 also gives members opportunities to perform in full-scale productions, attend workshops, and explore different areas of theater like acting, music, dance, and backstage production. It’s a place where you can discover what you love, challenge yourself, and feel supported every step of the way.

 Stage 2 Membership Information

  • Stage 2 serves teens and college-aged students who love to create, perform, and grow. Students often seek opportunities they cannot find in school-based programs. Stage 2 gives them:

    • A safe, inclusive environment

    • Opportunities to express themselves

    • Real theater experience

    • Leadership roles

    • Guidance from mentors and peers

    • A place to belong

Students learn acting, singing, dancing, tech production, set design, costuming, advertising, fundraising, and community service. They are highly active on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, and they engage with content related to performing arts, pop culture, and creative tutorials.

  • Stage 2 is one of the few youth-driven performing arts programs in the Meridian area where students actively participate in every part of theater—onstage and behind the scenes. Unlike many traditional or adult-led programs, Stage 2 emphasizes leadership, education, and community service. Students aren’t just cast members; they become choreographers, designers, directors, marketers, and problem-solvers.

Stage 2’s youth-led, hands-on model builds real-world skills in communication, teamwork, responsibility, and creative thinking.

  • Weekly Meetings

Stage 2 meets regularly on Monday nights, focusing on teamwork, skills building, rehearsals, and leadership development.
